Google Phasing out third party cookies - What does it mean for AdSense Websites?

In this Google blog post, David Temkin mentions how the next generation of Google Chrome will remove support for third-party cookies. Can anyone imagine what this might mean for AdSense website publishers? Google Chrome is the most widely used browser in the world. I don't know how AdSense is going to adopt this change and I can only imagine it will slowly destroy AdSense web publishers.
