Southwest Airlines - Check-In Can't Change Nationality?

by funnyinterestingcool » Sun Nov 21, 2021 2:08 pm

Upon checking in for our Southwest Airlines flight online, we accidentally input the wrong nationality and the form locked us from being able to change it. It asks for a green card which our flyer does not have in order to complete check-in.

In order to update the Nationality input field, we had to call Southwest Airlines customer care at 1-800-435-9792. Ask the Southwest representative to request the Nationality filed unlock (or to update with correct nationality) with the help desk at the airport as they are the only ones who will be able to change it.

Be sure to use the correct country code to call Southwest Airlines if you are in another country outside the US:

<the exit code of your country> + “1” (the U.S. country code) + <the U.S. area code> + <the 7-digit U.S local phone number>.
