MacBook Pro 16” - Dual External Monitors & Powering Off Issue

by funnyinterestingcool » Thu Nov 25, 2021 3:33 am

I’m using a MacBook Pro 16” Intel. I use 2 external monitors with it including the laptop screen. The first monitor goes into a usb-c hub. The 2be plugs directly into a usb-c port (display port to usb-c connection) on the MacBook. Whenever I turn off the display port monitor, my laptop and other monitor screen flicker black. Pam times it resets the displays. Normally, I would expect noting to happen when I power off a monitor. I suspect this may have something to do with different refresh rates across all screens.

Anyone else having this happen too?

Btw, it’s too bad the MacBooks don’t support MST (only mirror mode with 2 monitors via 1 USB C connection.
