I have a
Netgear Nighthawk M1 Router (MR1100) with AT&T LTE service. The M1 router has options to port forward and setup a DMZ and it allows me to set these on the router, but neither open any ports for my devices. I read that I might have to contact AT&T to get a static IP address assigned in order to DMZ or port forward but I don't understand why. Is it that forwarding over an LTE network (AT&T) is just not allowed?

I also tried IP Passthrough on the M1 to another Netgear AC1750 router (because the wireless b/g/n on the M1 suck) and it works fine for passthrough, but not port forwarding from the M1 to the AC1750.
