What's happening: Google is discontinuing the "Related Search" Auto ads format.
Key updates:
Discontinuation date: August 6, 2026
What stops: The Related Search format will no longer serve on your site after that date
What's removed: It will also be pulled as a selectable format option from the AdSense front end
Action needed: None — this is a no-action-required notice
What continues: All your other Auto ads formats will keep working normally
Possible replacement: Some of your remaining Auto ads formats may automatically fill in for the old Related Search slots
Bottom line: You don't need to do anything. Google is just phasing out this one specific ad format and letting other Auto ads formats pick up the slack on ad placements it used to fill.
