Suddenly, we received emails from <> about being charged for an item already returned. After chatting with Amazon, they called it a "Retroactive charge" and would reverse it. They couldn't provide a reason for why the system decided to charge for the returned item when it was already confirmed return in my Amazon account months ago...

We've processed your replacement order in advance, but we were expecting to receive the return by Fri, Aug 5. Because we've not received the original item yet, your Visa has been charged again.
