All Aboard!
Your new Take-Along Train Station is a round-trip ticket to adventure! Use it to develop your child's language, vocabulary, and fine motor skills, as well as to encourage social interaction with others. Try these activities to get started!

🚏 Road Trip!
Once you've built a track, tell your child that you'd like to take a road trip. Where will you go? What should you pack? How long will you be there? Once you've decided on all the details, pretend to board the train and start off on your adventure!

Name That Train!
Show your child the five train cars and explain that each one has a job to do. The red engine is the front of the train — this is where the conductor sits! The green car, the yellow car, and the longer of the two blue cars hold the passengers. The shorter blue car is the oil car — it hauls oil. Whichever car you put in the back of the train is the caboose.

Make a Town!
Build a train track and then lay out all the accessories. Discuss with your child where he or she wants to place everything. Where should the post office and bank go? What about the road signs, the bushes, and the trees? Once all the accessories are in place, name your town!

Red Light, Green Light
Here's a fun spin on the classic game! Take turns being the caller and train engineer. The engineer will move the train at "green light" and stop it at "red light." You can even use the traffic light road sign as a prop while you play!

Train Track Derby
Create two identical tracks. Then each of you select a train car. At the word "Go!" you and your child should each push your train car down the track and release it. Whose car goes farther? Or keep pushing and releasing it until it reaches the end of the track. Whoever gets there first wins!
